Program Description
Event Details
Each month we discuss a mystery book on the second Thursday morning.
This month we will discuss 2 books by the same author: Martin Walker. The Bruno detective series is set in the Périgord region of France, where Walker lives. The books feature an unconventional village policeman, Benoît "Bruno" Courrèges, a passionate cook and former soldier who was wounded on a peacekeeping mission in the Balkans, who never carries his official gun, and who has "long since lost the key to his handcuffs".
You can choose to read either The Body in the Castle Well OR A Taste for Vengeance. If you are particularly ambitious, you can buddy up with another book club member and read both by swapping the books; please do not check out both books to yourself at the same time or we won't have enough copies for everyone! The books will be available to borrow at the Circulation Desk any time after our February 13 meeting.
