Saturday Morning Gentle Exercise - Chair Yoga
During March, Laura M. will lead the group in Chair Yoga, gentle exercise done sitting in a chair or standing (as you are able) while using the chair for balance.
Want to exercise without hurting yourself? Join us Saturday mornings for gentle exercise. No getting up and down from the floor; no pushing yourself too far. These exercises can be done from a chair if you wish. Every week we'll offer one of the following:
- Kim Setla will lead the group in "off-the-floor" yoga, always standing or seated in a chair.
- Ann Pia or Kay will lead the group in Tai Chi Chi'h, a gentle series of exercises that improve your breathing, balance, and strength
- If no teacher is available, we will show a video of either Yoga or Tai Chi that has been approved by our volunteer instructors.
Sign up is required, as we must limit attendance according to the latest CDC advice. We encourage mask wearing for anyone who is immunocompromised or at high risk for COVID; please ask the instructor for placement away from unmasked attendees if you need that accommodation.
