Stop in the Baldwinsville Public Library's lobby to meet a local author. Geoff Clough is a musician, piano teacher, songwriter and author of Fairhaven: Adventures on a Sea Called Life and now Fairhaven's Legacy. He will be on hand from 6:30 - 8PM on June 1st with copies of his books.
Geoff grew up in Syracuse and Skaneateles. While in his 20's he lived in L.A. working as a music copyist and began teaching piano and organ lessons.
Years later, he moved to Geneseo where he taught children and seniors. Throughout the years, he's loved hearing students' stories of their lives, from the first time a child rode their bike to how someone met their spouse. The stories have influenced Geoff's writing along with his own journey, visiting 14 countries where he taught students without a common language but still communicated anyway.
His books are allegories filled with childlike adventures and humor, always focusing on the importance of friendship. The first book, Fairhaven: Adventures on a Sea Called Life is about finding acceptance, family and purpose.
Geoff currently lives in Baldwinsville. He enjoys music trivia and history especially the Alaska Gold Rush of 1898, which he speaks on occasionally.
